IP65 dimmable backlighting solution for advertisement boards
Mr. KENNY JANSSENS from showled, United Arab Emirates are looking for an IP rated white dimmable backlighting solution.
Since they are used for outdoor billboards, IP65 minimum waterproof is required.
It is for outdoor commercial sign boards. To backlight the PVC print material.
The sign boards are the huge advertisement boards next to the highways. For this particular upgrade of the backlighting, the client is looking for a dimmable version compared to the standard static ones used now.

-wide angled 140~160 degree
-Only single sided.

It is a big advertisement company with many locations. The sign boards vary in dimension, but some are 600sqm each. Total sqm that could be involved in the project is 14000 sqm.
The distance from the print material to the LEDs is 40cm. We were thinking of higher output LED units on a matrix pitch of 20x20 cm. But this needs to be tested with the print material to see how well it diffuses in order to get an even light spread.
Few parameter questions need to specified like:
-So, each strip is 25cm in length and has 6 LEDs per strip?
-Total wattage per 25cm strip is 1.5W?
-If we put 10cm between the strips, how many can we put in one vertical section of 25cm wide?
-This means for 1m x 1m we would need 40 strips or total of 60W per sqm?
-What power supplies do you recommend?
-What would be the price per 25cm strip?
